MESSAGE BOARD

Ref: 14 Do you have memories of Warley Woods? This year we are celebrating 100 years
of the Woods as a public park. We are producing a booklet to commemorate
this and we want to hear peoples memories of the Park and the Woods. We
would like to meet people and listen to them, possibly using a tape recorder
so that we can record what is said, and then use some of the memories in the
booklet.

If you would like to be part of this exciting project please contact the
Warley Woods Community Trust Office either by phone on 0121 420 1061 or e-mail admin@warleywoods.org.uk We look forward to hearing from you.

Ref: 13 Message from Ann Challoner. l would be very interested to hear from anyone who attended St Michaels Church, Crocketts Lane, Smethwick over the period 1948-1958. I was a regular attender/Sunday School Teacher there during this period until I moved with my family to the Bournemouth area, where I still live.
I know that sadly the church was demolished together with some of the houses in the vicinity and the residents rehoused elsewhere, which no doubt means that many of them now live elsewhere. It would be good to have news of anyone who remembers me. My name then was Ann Ritchie and I lived in High Street.
