Smethwick Heritage Centre 2012
The Centre re-opens on 7th March for the 2012 season. Coffee and biscuits are served from half past ten in the morning!
The first of the roadshows for this year has been confirmed and will be at the Dorothy Parkes Centre on Saturday 17th March from 10:30 - 4. The themes for the show are yet to be decided but we are looking at a major company and some smaller displays. This year sees the Queen's diamond jubilee and the olympics so we will be featuring these at some point on our travels and in the centre displays.
Mary Bodfish has informed us her talk at the Old Church will be on "The Moilliets of Smethwick grove". This will be at the roadshow on 17th March. |

About the Trust...
The Trust has its own Heritage Centre, the former Lodge situated in Victoria Park, where numerous pieces of memorabilia are housed and displayed. This gives us the chance to see and remember Smethwick as it once was and generate a renewed interest in seeing the town not just as part of Sandwell, nor part of the Black Country or Birmingham ,but standing alone and looking forward to a better future stemming from a rich tapestry of history. We welcome donations for the collection.
For visiting times and details of how to get here go to the "About The Centre" page.
